Michael Jackson – Best of all time (The king of pop music)

A singer, a song writer and the king of pop music, Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, to an African-American working-class family. He is also known as Michael Joe Jackson. Michael is the seventh child of his father and mother.

 During his childhood, he was a lead singer of the Jackson family’s popular Motown group, Jackson5. He started his career from the age of five along with his four brothers. At the very beginning Michael showed a huge talent and he, his brother Jermaine became the main singers of the group. In 1968, when Jackson was ten, Motown records signed the Jackson5.

The first four singles of the group - I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save, and I'll Be There – all hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke a record for consecutive singles.
 

In 70’s Michael recorded many solo albums. After he met a super producer Quincy Jones, on the set of The wiz, he and jones produced off The wall in 1979 and won his first award as a solo artist. The next album of Michael, Thriller, was his most successful and became the best-selling album of all time. Approximately 100 copies have been sold worldwide.

In the year 1984, while he was filming a Pepsi commercial, his hair caught fire and did a reconstructive surgery. But he was not gone long- the next year he wrote We are the World, a charity song that raised money for aid in the US and Africa, with Lionel Richie. Later in 1978, he released Bad, which had five number one singles.

Along with fame he got more attention and scrutiny. Because of Michael’s changing appearance and his personal life, people started calling him “Wacko Jacko”. In 1991 he released Dangerous. Performing at the superbowl, in 1993 he made a huge splash. When he was accused of molestation by a child who'd spent time at his ranch, Neverland, his career suffered.  Later Michael married Lisa Marie Presley and released the album HIStory. Two years later they divorced and Michael married Deborah Jean Rowe. Together they had two children named Prince and Paris before divorcing in 1999. He also had a daughter named Blanket whose mother is a secret.

In 2001 Michael released Invincible.  Another child molestation case was filed against him in 2003. He was found innocent in the eyes of law. So after the trial he moved to Bahrain, a country in the Middle East.  In the year 2008, sony/BMG released , a special 25^th anniversary edition of thriller, thriller25  that hit number two in the US. On August 29, 2008, Michael Jackson celebrates his 50th birthday, on the same day the compilation album King of Pop drops in stores.

With thriller as the best-selling album of all time, Jackson had eight Guinness world record. During his life Michael suffered from Vitiligo, a skin disorder that causes loss of pigment in the skin. At the 2006 World Music Awards, Michael was presented with the Diamond Award for selling over 100 million albums in his career. Michael raised funds for Hospitals and Orphanages and United Negro College Fund. He was also one of the first entertainers to call attention to the HIV/AIDS crisis and the need for research and funding to help stop it.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson died unexpectedly while in his bed at his rented mansion at 100 North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills district of Los Angeles. 

 He was the best of all in the Music world.... no one can take his place. Though Michael is dead his memories will never vanish and he will always be in our hearts. May God bless his soul and rest his soul in peace.
