windows 7 starts up so fast but it does not shut down as fast as it should be.
It needs to close all background applications and operating procedures and the
shuts down the computer. Let us see how we can make Windows 7 to shut down
faster.
Click on Start button and search “regedit” and open
regedit.exe. Now go to the below path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control In the right side window
find the WaitToKillServiceTimeout key and double click to edit it. Change the
default 12000 (12 seconds) to 2000 (2 seconds) or above.
Click on OK button. Now you are done! Restart your
computer to change effect. This may help speed up your shutdown if you have any
such services running.
