ESL article - My school

My school is high hill school, which is located in the northern side of Ihavandhoo, near the cemetery. It's 60 years in the course of education; the school has achieved high rank among the atoll schools. It was built by the islanders in 1978. At the beginning there were only 2 staff and a few students. However, now the school has 200 staff including 160 local teachers and 20 foreign teachers. It also includes workers and principals. Now there are around 700 students in the school.

Recently the government has changed the management of the school. Also they sent a new principal named Mrs. Mary. She is very good at managing the school. We all love our new principal. We greeted her very warmly in her first day at the school.
The facilities in the school have also been improved with the arrival of new principal. Many new advanced facilities were introduced such as multimedia and smart screen. The principal also organized many activities and events. Today every class has its own TV with multimedia facilities. At the beginning of this month the school started holistic education, which everyone was waiting to see. The upcoming project is also very important for our students. The project is going to start on this August. As a part of the project the school will provide a laptop for every student including teachers and admin officers.
I think the school has developed a lot with the arrival of new principal. The students and teachers can do their work very efficiently within this learning environment. Now the students can get information with one click. I hope and pray too that my school will improve a lot during these days.
